There was a great one on ebay yesterday but I think the seller took it down because it disappeared with 5 days to go and zero bids when I last checked it.

Other than that, I do not know where to find a Tascam 388 for sale.

Are there some other websites that you guys know of for buying vintage recording gear?

thanks

There's this guy named Craig... he lives across the Bay from me. He's got a wicked killer list ;)

where do you live?
i might sell mine, but im not shipping it.

Yep that's a hell of a drive.

How have you liked the 388?

i like mine alright, if i had my recoding stuff set up at home id use it, but i have to record at my bands practice space and i like to be able to take stuff back and forth with be, so as of late its been either a cassette 4-track or....gasp......a korg d1600 mk.....yikes! but the 4-track is winning.

Tascam 388

You live in Chicago?

I'm in Columbia, MO and have a 388. I've been waffling on selling mine for about a year now. Picked it up two years ago from a guy in K.C. with a home studio. Smoke-free, climate controlled studio environment and recently serviced. Works great, sounds great, and a few extras (remote, stack of tapes, midi controller, snake, cleaning kit). I just haven't had the time to do much with it. Keep telling myself that I need it for when I an really settle in to working with it, but the I keep thinking about others out there who could get so much more out of it right now. If I need to, I guess I could always look for another one at some point in the future. For now, I'm thinking it's time to let it go.

I want it to go to someone who will really appreciate it's qualities and use it for recording on a regular basis.

Interested?

Get back me if so.
