I can understand the walls, but whats the trick to hanging them in the corners and on the ceiling/wall joints? (diagonally)

Depends what you make your panel out of.
Some designs you have to screw to the wall. Or use toggles or mollies.
Or you could make small freestanding corner units and stack them.
If your panel is just fabric-covered RFSB, velcro might hold it on a wall.
Same goes with the ceiling. Plywood-backed RFSB panels screwed to the ceiling, or hung like baffles off hooks.

I use 4" long screws with fender washers. Worked well for me
