It would be quite wrong to label me as racist. The studio I work at is owned by a Korean, and we produce music for a wide variety of artist of differing ethnic heritage. I have worked live sound in "black" clubs. I spent 5 years in the Army and had people above and below my rank of any number of different ethnic backgrounds. So sad that you feel that way Vox.

First of all, talk about not reading posts clearly.. I simply ASKED if your next move was to make a play on MR Q for being Black.. I never "Labelled" you anything.

Secondly... I DID NOT fail to read your initial post, even though you love using that as an angle for argument..... You obviously haven't seen much of my posting around here, although you seem to know me so well and have learned my penchant for offering apologies :rolleyes:......

I was hardly flaming you, but rather stating my opinion on comparisons in general...

Some friendly advice:

Why not look to yourself and try not to be so sensitive. I mean only 50 some-odd posts and your already becoming pretty disliked....

Only 1 person replied to a track processed by a 3630 and it's
efx. That thread was posted back in early 2001!!!
Furthermore "CREEPY" mentioned the same dynmic processors on 5 tracks he recorded also last year and wanted me to tell the diff
between a Crane and a 3630!!!!

Believe me, he is posting info from threads that he and I took part of in early 2001!! As a matter of fact, how can "CREEPY" know about me supposedly "RAVING about a 3630-processed bass track" on thread that was opened in early 2001 that sonusman i discussed about!! Remember, "CREEPY" has only been a member since April 2002 and the SEARCH FUNCTION was
inoperable up until a month ago!!!

The only thing I can say is that... when I have gotten in "Tiffs" with people in the past, I sometimes search to see what their past stance on a subject was..

So, "Creepy" might have done the same... Wanted to see what was said about the alesis and cranesong in the past and came across your thread...

But I might be treading water here.... I have been known to be wrong about these things before..

I thought you may take my post as a challenge but I was hoping that as a pro you would see it as a discussion instead of a threat......

I'm not going to "tread" around you at all..... I really see no reason to use mild threats here - I have no quarrel with you..... you could be George-fucking-Massenburg himself posting here - while that may mean I'll respect your comments enough to listen, that's not going to make me like a 3630 any more than I do now....

I know my shit and the context/market/area I use it in, and you know your shit in your own slice of the audio industry...

Just like you have your experience with gear, and I have mine....

Naturally, I can only tell of MY experience with it.... whether it is in accordance with yours is inconsequential.... it's still MY perspective....

So let's leave the bar-room posturing out of this.... I feel absolutely no need to prove myself to you in any way, and I don't see why you should feel you have to prove yourself to me -- unless you somehow feel a modestly-equipped studio up in Ottawa is somehow a genuine threat to you.........

Or maybe you just don't like the fact that I can actually make a Mackie work for me?
