that would presnt some problems.... hmmmn rule out condensers...the phantom would do wonders for your GI tract.... does any body make a dynamic clip on??? would suggest losing the clip....
Dunno, but it reminds me of Douglas Adams Last Chance to See with his attempt to record the sound under the Yangtze River. His BBC sound man didn't have any underwater recording equipment, but said at a pinch, putting a mic in a condom would work. They had enormous trouble trying to convince the Chinese pharmacist that what they really wanted was a condom - the pharmacist thought that a birth control pill was much more effective.
The electrovoice n/d 257b can stay in pretty firm contact withthe lips at hi spl's and sound good. It would not be my first choice for recording at all but it's pretty good live. I'm sure the SM-58 would be as good or better.
For recording on a budget like me the at-3035 is great for hi spl's use the pad and the roll off and you can put a pop filter a inch or two from it and flat out belt.
