What's the best chord?

There is no best chord without the chord that proceeds or follows said chord. Your so called best chord is nothing without being set up with a set up chord and the same with its exit chord. Or in some cases melody which usually involves an arpeggio with auxiliary notes as well that also act as entry and exit notes that form stepping pebbles in between your stepping stones.
 
Personally I'm quite a fan of anything in the key of S... as made popular by the renowned musician/scientist Jack Morgan (BSc).

And they also know that even when you hit the wrong note, you are never more than a semitone off the right note anyway. No big problem.
