I need amps to drive the main speakers from the mixer. I was looking for 1000 or more watts and I'm only finding Pyle. Are the good, or what should I look for?

There's loads of brands... Every brandname that has been around, and has those thingies around 2500$ is about worth it I guess.
Crest, Crown, QSC,.... All big brands and pretty big prices.
What speakers do you have? That's a major part of the decision.
I just got into the whole ampspeaker stuff, so I don't know the whole lot of it. With my live-mixing experience, I can tell if a system sounds good, but what is wrong with it, or which systems to buy is something different. (I just bought a new system for our youthclub, and got a job as a stagehand with a local soundcompany...)

We have 2 cabinets that have 2 15" speakers and a horn, and we have 2 cabinets that have just a 15" speaker and horn. We want to get more, especially floor monitors, but that's why we need the amp. The two guitarists and bassist have a half stack and they all have heads for their speakers. The singer doesn't really have anything of his own; he's just louder in the PA.

You just gotta keep in mind that if you want a decent amp with that kinda power, 1000$ will not cut it.
How much can your speakers handle? And what will you use it for? If you want to go louder on your main system, you'll probably have to consider a 2-way system with a crossover.
If you want to add monitors, you should put them on a seperate output of the mixer, so you have seperate control over the sound in the room and the sound on stage. And 1000W for stage monitors is *ALOT*. Even a deaf drummer don't need that.
What will you be amplifying? Just the singer/keyboards? Or also the drums to a certain extent? Or everything? What do you want to end up with, just a miniPA to do small clubs, or a decent PA system that requires a mixer and will allow you to do small halls too?
There's alot of things to consider when buying this stuff...

I'm not positive about my speakers, but I know they're less than 1000 watts. I want a decent PA for small halls. I won't to be able to run the drums through it, but it doesn't have to be a lot.

We'll be running a pair of Peavey SP2's off each side in stereo mode but panned down the middle. Plenty enough watts to blow them if someone gets itchy fingers.

The biggest place where we have to bring our own equipment holds 6,000 people I believe. A band asked us to run live sound for them there, but we didn't have nearly enough equipment. It would be nice if we could do a place like that.

And if you want good speakers, Nexo makes damn nice stuff which has high power capacity. Quite expensive though. And if you need more power than 2000 watts you should be in a whole other category of speakers. For 6,000 people, you really should be looking at array's something like JBL Vertec, Nexo Alpha or Geo, Meyer Sound Arrays, etc. I can hook you up with a guy who actually knows what he's talking about, I'm just generalizing, but 6,000 people I would hardly consider a small hall, and 20 crappo speakers is not the answer.
