I was moving, so I was digging into old stuff which had WHITELION tape. I played it, and was extremely pleased with the music. It had been many years since I listened to them.

I did some searches on Googles, but could not find any useful information about them. I found that the guitar player was Vito Bretta. To me he plays better than VanHalen, even though he was influenced by VH.

There were some information google, but nothing seemed to be real.

Anyone can shed some light on this super group?

Thanks :)

Aren't those guys dead....oh wait....that's just their career. lol....did the tape happen to be Pride. Apparently they were trying to get a renunion tour together but Vito wasn't doing it and the spot was gonna be filled by Warren De Martini. At any rate Vito has been under a rock since the end of White Lion but has made a few guest appearances on Randy Coven cd's. Apparently Vito is now very involved in classical guitar. I remember when all the Van Halen fans became Vito Bratta fans. So many memories.

Thanks.
The tape I have is "Big game" with the picture of a lion with the whitehouse in the background.

If you hear anything else please do tell. Love those guys!

Are you a Krokus fan too? Seems like those who like one like the other.

well i only know that for quite a while after White Lion,,
vocalist Mike Tramp was in a project called
FREAK OF NATURE,,who released a few records as i recall.
im sure you could find some stuff in the bargain bins or online.
hope that helps.
i thought Krokus were a bit shite by the way.
Smelly Nelly and Mr 69! hehehehheeh!
Thye had a good song with RADIO in the title though,,,,
jeez,,thats THREE tracks i like.,
i shall get my coat,,,
while im ahead,,,

Krokus rocked!! I saw them a couple of times back in the 80's. Their vocalist, Marc Storace sounded a little too much like Bon Scott but other than that they were cool. If you can find it, get a copy of their album HEADHUNTER. It rocks!!

Isn't Krokus a flowering bulb that blooms in early sring?

Strange they named their metal band after a flower.

......and with Eddie fooling around with keyboards and VanHagar, somebody [Vitto Bratta] had to do his job for him.

krokus was ....

real close to ac/dc... they had one song "long stick goes boom" or something like that ....i read in Guitar One ,i think , anyway they said Vitto laid off the guitar for awhile it seems he was getting into classical stuff and didn't warm his hands up enough ,and he went and blew his hand out couldn't play jack for awhile

The demise of Whitelion was probably related to severe hair loss, how many "big hair bands" are still around?

off topic .....

yeah the hair bands are there but the hair has left ...except kevin dubrow he magically grew an afro since th 80's ....:D

Funny posts!

As for Whitelion, I think "Big Game" was their best album.

Didn't White Lion do that sappy song about when the children cry or something like that? That may have contributed to their descent into obscurity...
