My product would be the most important part of my studio.

In case of fire (I've been through two both lightning) I would grab my 2488 neo and DP-01 and my laptop because they have all my work on it, the one thing insurance couldn't replace and thus the dearest to me. If I had time I'd grab my trusty Ibanez Artcore. I also keep a duffel with some clothes money and personal documents in it right underneath the desk. Since I live alone, there's only one place I need to go before I'm out the door in case of another lightning hit.
 
My pride and joy would definitely have to be my keyboard. My Motif XF8
 
First, instrument-wise, I'd have to say the drum kit I had custom made for me. I sponsor Fat Cat Custom Drums. He's based out of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and I had him make me a beautiful looking/sounding maple kit with Keller VSS shells, offset chrome tube lugs, natural maple wood hoops and a blue glass glitter wrap. Everything is suspended (no hole in ANY of the drums), meaning virgin kick, and the floor toms sit in cradles instead of using hanging mounts, since they're pretty large. Sizes are 7x12 tom, 14x16 floor tom, 16x18 floor tom and 18x22 Kick Drum. These pics are NOT from my studio (note lack of bass traps entirely)!

My fav piece of studio gear would have to be my new Gold Age Projects Pre-73! Can't see it well, but it's the little red thing in the rack. Hope to get a second one, once this next small project pays for it!

Actually, 16 traps might sound like a lot, but it's barely half of what I need. It's only a 19X24 foot room, but I see exposed corners all over the place. :)

Ive bought much more expensive, Ive bought software, hardware, basses, synths, guitars...but Ive never bought anything for a singular purpose that this $200 fitted :)

One of my fav gits ever was a cheap Aria strat from around '73. Best strat I ever had .... it was stolen. :mad:

I guess I could've added my Univox passive bass. It may not be a huge brand name or the newest in technology, but it's built like a tank, crisp as hell, easy to play, smooth and vintage sounding (even has a little thumb rest!). My bassist with a $2000 custom active bass even likes mine better than his! It's pretty much a P-bass knock-off. The perfect bass to have as a studio bass imo (although I'm not a bassist by trade)!
 
I'm pretty late to the convo, but for me this would be my Marshall MG15, and my ST-51 LDC. Both bought together for only $90 and basically brand new. The mic came with the padded box and all. I've used it for vocals, drum room mic, guitar room mic, acoustic guitar.. :)
 
My '77 Martin D-35L. Best and truest friend for 35 years. It's a little beat up and needs frets but it's my hands down favorite out of the entire arsenal of instruments and recording hardware.
 
Porbably my two top pride and joys are:

1 AKG C414XLS mike. It is so dependable, so smooth and so versatile.

2 Technics SX-PX554 digital piano. Sadly Technics don't make these anymore, but they are a great piano. A friend of mine said that the Kawai was good for Mozart, but the Technics is better for Beethoven. Unfortunately, I can play neither.
 
My pride and joy is my Tascam M-3700 console. I know it's not the best console ever made, but after all of the man hours spent re-chipping it and replacing capacitors I've become particularly attached to it. I love that I can use it as a massive midi controller when mixing in the box or add some analogue flavour mixing outside the box. I also love that I can save the fader positions to floppy disk.

Funny thing, I was thinking about this thread last night and was going to come on today and say my M3700, I remember the day I bought it brand new and how it changed the studio forever with the arrival of automation.
