What Yall Working with?

MIDI manic...

I use Reason 2.5 and Recycle 2.0...I'll get 3.0 one of these days and i hope it has more RnB and HipHop sounds (it seems like everything in Reason (standard) is geared towards techno)

as far as the hardware goes...
Mackie 1202 VLZ mixer
Behringer B2 mic , AudioTechnica ATR30 mic

Yamaha DXG500 88-key piano (for midi control mostly, though i have been known to "real-time it" now and again)

OK, now get ready to laugh...
i monitor through an AIWA NSX-AJ300 stereo system... but thats gotta be the best stereo ive ever used though -- $160 4 years ago and my mixes come out great so what can you say?

I mix out of somme Koss UR10 headphones on beats and vocals. My mixes come out a lot better than you would think....I just know those headphones well.

I hear that. Its all about knowing how to make what you have work!

It's not much...BUT!! It's not complicated and I know how to use it....so to me that's what matters.

It's gotten to the point where I insist on mixing with those....even when I've been at other studios with monitors.
