What would you choose for drum overhead AKG1000s or OCT MC012?

I know there is probably a thread out there covering this, but im just after a single mic overhead and both of these seem good options as they are on the market around the same price.

Anyone had the opportunity to use them?

If you listen to a bunch and pick the best one, you will probably be much happier with the MC012 for a drum overhead.

If an intruder forces his way into your studio late some night, you will prefer the C1000 - it makes for a much better weapon. Hit someone upside the head with an MC012 and they won't even feel it.
 
Use the 1000's as sticks and the MC012 as microphones.
 
Use the 1000's for snare and tom mics and the 012's as overheads.

I have both and C1000s work best on snare and toms. The MC 012s on overheads.
 
You'll notice people are answering in plural- (2) MC012's, not one.-Richie
 
Yes i have noticed i realize two are better than one , but one is better than none right?
 
I would use the MC-012's, if I had to choose between those mics.
Otherwise, I'd chose my SM81's.
