What was your first guitar?

I started playing when I was like 10.. and I tortured my mom's guitar that was some Polish made classical. Its still hanging on the wall :)

For my 16th birthday my parents bought me a new 1981 Ibanez Iceman(made in Japan). It's a little bit dinged up now but still plays and sounds fantastic!
Jeez I'm starting to get old

my first guitar was a yamaha acoustic. i used it for 4 years and then bought a taylor. i realized that i would never play my yamaha again so i gave it away.

A DanElectro with the old "soapbar" single coil pickups. Sadly, I no longer have it.

My first guitar was a 1970? Daimuru sunburst electric. Sounded like crap...still does. I just keep it around for sentimental reasons.

Has anyone else heard of this brand before? I can't find any information on the company.

If I'm not mistaken, Daimuru was the name of a retail outfit. A "Daimuru" guitar would be like a "Wal-Mart" guitar here.

Sears Signature - just like the one used by Canned Heat.

Although I bought it before I ever heard of them.

Thanks for the info - that would explain the overall shittiness of the guitar!

An old Teisco I got at a yard sale for $7.50. Eventually, I duct taped the entire body of the guitar out of boredom.. not sure why the hell I did this. Eh.

That thing had the worst action, ever.

Silvertone...

matter of fact here's the pic of it ... got it for my 14th birthday
