 Hey,

I want to build myself a basic digital studio I am presently recording with a normal computer microphone and I want to have better sound and quality. I already have a pretty good computer, I would like to know what should I buy for the equipment of this basic studio and what software should I get?

Cheers,
Rick

What instruments are you trying to record and what is your budget?

Immediately get a good beginner recording book (spend $20 before spending hundred$/thousand$) that shows you what you need to get started and how to hook everything up in your studio:

I am not using any instruments, the music is all done by a composing software and I'm gonna be rapping over these tracks so I just want to have a good quality recording my budget is still no decided but it will be around 1000$.
