what should i buy?

i need a sound card that is compatible with either cubase or pro tools i prefer pro tools thats what i used at college. its for home use so i don't want to pay 'loads'. i just want to mix tracks i recorded at college if its also a interface that would be good but not essential.
one more thing can you recommend some cheap monitors. a friend said to pay about a £100 each for two

the krk rokits rp5 g2 are 125 quids each and worth it
