what kind of mixer do any of ya'll perfer??????? There's DIGITAL MIXERS and then there's 4-BUS Mixers, then 8-BUS MIXERS. So what do any of ya'll perfer????????????

It depends completely on what you're trying to do...

recording

Well, i'll be using it for recording, and the outboards probably about 5.

What gear are you interfacing with - analog/digital?? What's your budget? How many inputs/outputs do you think you'll need at one time? How many auxiliaries? How much expansion do you need to worry about? Are you using it with an analog or digital multitrack, or computer??? Do you like mixing with a mouse or do you prefer knobs????

These are the kinds of questions you need to concern yourself with -- the answers will dictate the most appropriate mixer.

Don't Know

It seems DIGITAL MIXERS come with everything i need already. Like mic preamp, eq, compressor, Etc. Plus a cd burner. Would it be better just to buy one like that. Or buy all the Equipment separate, and connect a mic preamp, compressor, etc... To a non, digital mixer?????????? I also have a computer, so i would mos def like to connect it to that. If thats possible. I don't have all the equipment, i want to buy all of it at once. But i'm just gonna have the basic stuff i'd need. Like a mic, Mic preamp, compressor, Eq, signal processor, and mastering processor. So if that helps.

Thanks

P.S. not looking for something awesome, just something that will fit my profyle, also be able to provide great sound and great whatever. thanks again

I'd like the big Kitchen-Aide, but my wife wouldn't let me put it on our wedding registry, so I'm stuck mixing stuff by hand with a big spoon or whatever. It really sucks!

Oh wait, this isn't the wedding board?

Listen up!

not-so-hottsauce....

Based on the nature of your questions - I don't think you're even at a stage where you can be looking at gear at all....

Without understanding the fundamental processes of what's involved in even a novice recording project, it's impossible to know enough to even make gear-buying decisions.

It's like trying to buy stuff to paint a house without having built the house yet!

I strongly suggest you do some reading and get yourself very familiar with the recording process. THEN you can ask us questions that we can actually answer, because as it is, you're FAR TOO CLUELESS for us to be answering without writing books!

Start with a copy of Huber & Runstein's "Modern Recording Techniques" and get re-acquainted with your sofa.

hmmm... I thought his questions sounded very strange....

another net-kook -- oh well....

I like the Buhtringer 12564AZ, it has an interface that I insert in my anus, and it directly records all my musical ideas, applies compression, lubrication and pumps out a hip-hop-neo-soul album from the built in mastering facility. It is very good. Unlike the complex recording chains of mics/pres/compressors/limiters/A/D converters and messy software stuff, this is the straight shit. Mos def.

No one has to try at all....you do it all by yourself big boy.

It really doesnt matter which console, because Vegas Video just allowed me to fix the sync between audio and video on my crappy downloaded copy of the Aqua-Barbie Girl video, what more could you expect from your " profyle" than that?

Whatever They said, GREAT!

No play, I really need help, now if all of u want to argue, FINE! please don't write, i came on this board to learn not fight. Now, if this helps please let me know. I've been looking at alot of equipment so if it's bad, Tell me. If i had all this equipment do you think i could get a good sound out of it, meaning for my voice??????????????????

Mixer: Mackie 1604vlz Pro Professional (16x4x2) Compact mixer
Mix: Shure Ksm32
Mic Preamp: Focusrite Platinum Voice Master Pro
Signal Processor: Bellari Vp129 Tube Phone Preamp
Mastering Processor: TC Electronic Finalizer Express
Compressor: Presonus Bluemax Stereo Compressor/Limiter

Plus, i want a hook it up to my computer.

So will i be able to get good sound off of all of this equipment, or is there something else i need or what? Please try and answer, I am new, And i would like anybodys help on this, Thanks

I already gave your ALL the serious advice you need (or likely to get after all your bullshit).... pick up the book I recommended and start learning something....

Then maybe you can come back and ask some intelligent questions rather than the nonsense you've been posting.............
