What is the best way to share my music?

Hello,
A basic question perhaps.........I would like to send samples of my recordings to some friends to get feedback. I have the files in .wav format but the file sizes are big, obviously. What is the best way to share them? If it is Mp3, how do I create them and share?

if it is for critical listening of a mix, you should probably keep it .wav, burn a CD, and mail it.....

I'm with Gidge, on this.

If you're bent, uh, intent on emailing your songs, then it's mp3 that's best.

If you want to give them a hard copy, or a more hifi copy than an mp3 would be, just burn a CD, and send it in the mail.

Full length, 80 minute CDRs are becoming dirt-cheap, $.50/ea in many cases, jewel case extra, and there are also small format, 128MB CDRs, which I think give 24 minutes of recording time.

Believe it or not, currently the full length CDR-80's are cheaper than the small format CDR-24's. Go figure.
