What is the best way to charge?

Of course, if you sell yourself at top-of-the-barrel rates, you might get no work...

$300. for a 3 song demo or about 8/10 hours of work isn't top of the barrel rates.

I would rather work some of the time with class acts at top dollar than a bunch of bottom of the barrel acts at low ball prices.

An other thing to consider is to charge for tracking (get PAYED for that) - then charge for mixing and get PAYED for that before the product leaves your place.

Like a wounded bull... let's face it, musicians need to be poor or else they won't be able to lead the types of lives that produce all the raw material for good songs...:laughings:

Real answer - by the hour in batches, but know what the fuck you're doing first.

My preferred method of charging would be to have several hundred heavy cavalry, preferably with long spears, arranged in the typical triangle formation to ensure maximum damage to the enemy infantry ranks.

Oh wait whuuuuut? :o

I agree with what someone up there said earlier...by the song for a full album or ep, and by the hour for just a song or two or three!
