I know what your thinking , "then why go to a behringer again"? Duh!!! I know it's stupid but i figure its got to be better than the mixer and i can get it for under $200?

Does this make any sense:confused:

I don't know your mixer...But 200.00 bucks might not get you there..Try tapping the insert on your mic channel and go straight to your recorders inputs..Shorter path= cleaner signal..200.00 dollars for a pre with light bulb in it is just gonna get you mud..save your cash!Strive for a clean signal everything will take care of itself from there IMHO

I have to get something because the 48v phantom isn't working good, causes static. I have to keep tapping the mic to get it to work, and it's a brand new mic, so i'm assuming it's not the mic . I figuered i may as well just get a unit to warm up the sound. But what unit? Or do you have another suggestion? Thanks

Try a different cable. Try unscrewing the mic's externel body from the rest of the mic, then screwing it back together again. Look at the XLR wires/solder joints inside the mic when you have it apart. Try a different mic.
This should help you determine if the problem is the mic or the cable.
