Hi y'all,

Bought a pair of Sennheiser hd 560s recently and really love them. Doing most of my work on headphones so I'm thinking about getting a second complimentary headphones that give me something the Sennheisers might not achieve in it's specific frequency/feel. I'm looking more specifically on a pair with close back and distinct low-end, but all suggestions are welcome.

What would you guys personally go for?

I'm mixing Indie rock music,

Cheers, Adam

Sennheisers seem to have a good reputation. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Give some serious thought to trying the AKG K371 cans. Not sure of your budget but these are reasonably priced closed backs and have some excellent reviews by real pros. I have a pair and they're VERY comfortable and are GREAT to mix and master with. They would compliment your Senns nicely.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Mick

If you want a more scooped sound with plenty of bass as well as a great pair of portable headphones for listening on the move then try the Sennheiser HD25.

560's are good, 120ohm.. if you want more volume, isolation, closed will boost the low end a lot, HD280 64ohms...
what kind of headphone amplifier are these plugged into? Ive noticed some better low end with some headphone amps.
