I mean, it just seems like these posts are so PRECISELY what people here bitch about that it can't be an accident. I mean tryptophan showed up right around the time all the DJL vs StudioProjects thing boiled over. Yeah, in another thread somebody told him his dad died because he illegally pirated software, and his reply was that the epitaph had pretty well said as much. It was witty and in perfect English. Kinda makes you wonder.

It probably IS broken. Not really such a "far-out" or "wacky" idea is it? I've had countless Sm-57s go bad on me. I switched from Shure to Studio Projects, and now everything lasts.

Yeah, Shure makes junk.

Guy in a band I'm in has a couple 58's from the late 70's...they look like they've been around the world a hundred times, but they both work like champs and work everytime at that. I have a couple 58's that are 15 years or so old, not a problem with those either and they are used all the time.
