i just have them on mic stands, dont touch anything!

I only have one mic, I keep it in my bedside drawer.
that's not a mic....

woodworkers are almost as neurotic as we bretheren...
so i found what is esentially a medium sized tool box made of oak w/ brass corners/locks and then lined it with quality felt....

I only own an AT mb2k, and an sm58. They stay in their pouches in the cupboard. or on stands.

Samsonite

Hi,

My dynamic mics and condensor mics with batteries go in the original pouches or bank bags and live in Samsonite, the luggage of kings. I regularly buy Samsonite suitcases for $.50 and $1.00 at yard sales and flea markets.

These are the mics I use on stage for performance and recording live so I can just pick up my suitcase and go. I have another suitcase for mic cables, another for speaker cables, etc. These are the cheapest road cases you can get.

My condenser mics in smaller cases go on a shelf in my mix room. Larger cases in the linen closet of the adjoining bathroom.

I have a nice large case for my Fostex VF160 that has room for mics and my headphones too. This way I can do field recording carring only one case and mic stands.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry
