tax time is coming and i'm wondering..
i want to upgrade my studio with some "higher" end equipment. what i want to do is get an Alesis Master Control

but i've heard the pre amps SUCK on it sooo.. if i run a SPIDF cable from a presonus Digimax pre amp

would this be an alright investment for the money? and ideas?
if it makes a difference i'm running logic on a mac book. 2.4 GHz intel core 2 Duo, 2 GB of memory and OS version 10.5.8
