What do you think about this pickup ???

havent used that pickup for if you looking for a metal sound i really like the active emgs. although those will probably cost you a more, they are REALLY HOT and IMO are really good for that kinda metal
 
it should work... as long as you dont play thru some sissy amp...
 
That pickup is designed to be really tight, but the eq is really messed up. Theres very few mids, so you'd better be using an overdrive pedal with a large mid boost, as well as bass. The pickup is mostly treble, so although it's somewhat hot it doesn't overdrive the amp like crazy because most of the output is in the higher frequencies.

I suggest the Seymour Duncan Distortion, it's higher output, should be just as tight but will sound a lot bigger and heavier.

Hot, hot hot, but maybe too hot! Try Seymour Duncan Distortion on both postions, better tone without mud. EMGs are great but once you put a pair in your guitar you're gonna say: "I love them" or "I hate them" spiked bracelets too, lol
 
well personally i use seymor duncans but all my metal head friend use emgs and get a good sound, it seems to have a little less tone than the duncans(comparing mainly to my hot rails) but its a little less bassy and alot hotter
