Seems to be another copy of a U87, not really as it's less switchable, but seems on par by impressions. I hadn't really heard of it. Although it seems to be the mic to get in that $1K range. Some quirks with sibilance by reviews, otherwise a nice one. Lot's of U87 and U47 clones out there. But if you're after a U87, why not get a U87 (aside from the price)?

(lots of Sss Ssss Sssss stuff in that one.)
because i def wanna try a u87 before purchase when i know i can just drop into a studio and test one out. Another reason is i wanna wait till later to get one would rather get a nice preamp first to have it ready and then i need to mentally prepare my self to spend that type of dough for a microphone. As of right now i am doing this music as a hobby. I just would like a good mic that gets the job done a little better then average.
