So, i got myself a 2nd monitor and my original plan was to have the wave view or piano roll of my selected track on it, but it hasn't worked the way i wanted it to at all! lol

So, just thought i'd ask what everyone else has running on they're 2nd monitor to get some ideas.

I use it in pro tools for plugins and midi editing.

protools here too,

edit window on the left one, mix window on the right,

plugins and send levels on the middle one :)

Usually the left one is my main one and the right one is for edit modes... that's how I use Cubase for instance.

In Photoshop and Illustrator the one on the right is for the tools.

I ended up getting a third monitor and I put that with a keyboard and mouse at my drums.

'tis my setup...

My default Sonar layout is set to (working from left to right)...

Screen 1. Track mixer
Screen 2. Bus mixer
Screen 3. Main Sonar / arrangement window

...then I leave the far right monitor free for any plugins that might be handy to keep open on the screen, piano roll view, etc etc, or just to load up lyrics / sheet music for people to read from.

Monitor 1: Track waveforms, tools palette
Monitor 2: Playback controls, channel strips/mixer
