What do you guys think of this?

I've put a piece of foam behind the mic to reduce reflections, but not surrounding it. I think the foam behind works pretty well for vocals, but I'm not the greatest. Also, it doesn't destroy the pattern for a cardioid mic.

People way overcomplicate things and then dummies buy into it.

Agreed. People would rather spend money on what they are told is good, then actually doing some research or learning themselves what is best....

I guess if there was some new miracle product everyone would be talking about it.

Yes but how many of these can I put you guys down for?

Hey man...I'm good. I bought another drum kit off of craigslist to replace the kit that supercreep destroyed at Westfest!!! ;)

A Ludwig Accent...so still low end...but the hardware is so much nicer than what it was replacing.

I need someone to come tune 'em!!!! :)

How's life? Been fishing lately?

Life is great. Haven't fished in about a month. It's been too cold. Going this weekend though.

Tuning drums is easy. Those drums are okay. You can do it! :D

It looks razor flat from 50Hz. to 20,000 Hz. on the graph that you linked to at zero degrees. (second graph on page 1). Which graph are you looking at?
The off axis' looks like they roll off high frequencies assuming sounds coming from those angles are what you want to reduce. Isn't the idea to lower reflections from all other angles other than the front of the microphone?
This looks like something Peter Gabriel would wear on his head in the 70s. LOL… or maybe a NERF (tm) product.
