When our brave soldiers rescued their own from iraqi capture, they rescued two women. privates jessica lynch and shoshanna johnson. jessica lynch has had her story told on every media outlet. she has gotten a TV movie, and a book deal. In addition to the million dollar book and TV deals, she is receiving 80% disability benefits from the army. shoshanna johnson, every bit as much an american hero as jessica lynch, was shot through both legs and held captive for the same 22 days got no mention from the media and only a 30% disability benefit from the army.

that is racism.

jessica lynch is being given a boost over life's hurdles that shoshanna johnson will have to jump on her own.

Compare the injuries and tell me that Johnson was entitled to the same amount as Lynch. Johnson: Single gunshot wounds to both legs. Lynch: Left leg broken in 3 places, right foot shattered, broken arm, fractured disc in back and lacerations to the head.

You’re crazy if you think so. Those percentages aren’t arbitrary numbers they pull from the sky, they are based on severity of injuries and extent of disability.

The 80% that Lynch is receiving right now is temporary. When she heals up they will re-examine the percentage. The 30% that Johnson is receiving is permanent, but can be re-evaluated, if the condition worsens. IMHO, it would be a stronger case if that was what she was pursuing instead of crying "racism".

The entire world was bent over backward by the fueling of these countries with Africas resources...Having these resources in hand gave these incredibly small yet newly rich and powerful European countries the ability to rape the Globe.

You make a lot of valid points. The one about Death Row inmates isn't one though. There have only been a total of 111 exonerations, including 9 this year. Of those, 52 were black, 45 white, 12 Hispanic, 1 Native and 1 other. I don¡¦t where the info you have came from.

My bad. I was including dudes who got offa death row AND got long-term convictions overturned. I'll have to check some otha shit out I read to make sure I remember it correctly (or not). The most troubling thing is that heaps of minorities end up in jail (and sometimes injured or dead) as a result of the prejudice that runs rampant through our law enforcement agencies & legal system (a DIRECT reflection of our communities, in my opinion). I've been driving my own car with a white woman inside & cops have stopped me only to ask her "are you a'ight, ma'am? Are you sure?" Several years ago, I got ARRESTED for some shit that I was over 3000 miles away from when it happened. Turned out, the cat they wanted "looked" a lot like me (really, tho' he didn't. We couldn't have even passed for close cousins, not to mention brothers), lived in my hood, and we hung out at a lot of the same spots. The locals had given 5-0 money's name, but still, they had to rake MY ass up "just to be sure." In the end, I got a lot of apologies & a GPD t-shirt, which I promptly donated to the prop collection of a friend doing a cable access show - the shit we had "5-0" doing on that show!!!

Africa was and still is replete with natural resources more so than anywhere else on the globe.

Nearly every segment of Africa was OWNED or COLONIALIZED by some acting power in Europe, including but not excluding...UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany along with others....These countries continued to suck the lifesblood of Africa including its people well into the 20th century, some would still say to this day in the 21st century.

The monies alotted from this plundering of Africa funded governments like UK, as well as Nazi Germany....The diamonds that the Nazis stole from the Jews had at least a 90 percent chance of originating from Africa, as well as the gold that made those gold bars!

The entire world was bent over backward by the fueling of these countries with Africas resources...Having these resources in hand gave these incredibly small yet newly rich and powerful European countries the ability to rape the Globe.

The effects of the Holocaust were not GLOBAL...Slavery was..How did the Holocaust effect any other race of people moreso than African Slavery/Colonialism of Africa?? How??

What people on this planet that had absolutely no ties with Europe saw the short end of a stick or the long end of a machine gun because of the Holocaust?

But i fail to see how what happened in Europe with the Holocaust...affected the Caribbean or South America or Asia or Africa.

I believe if you read up on Slavery/Colonialism you will find yourself a bit more informed about REALITY.

As for what happened to the Serbs and the Jews i am in no way saying that they did not suffer nor was their loss small.. But in comparison to other situations their loss was not the greatest nor was it continuous. More than 1/2 the surface area of the planet has been affected by the Slave Trade i fail to see how either what happened in Russia, Serbia or Nazi Germany compares to that which happened to the Native Americans, the Native Caribbeaners, the Native Asians and the Native Africans...we are still living out this equation not by choice... Right now there are black people eating/working at Denny’s, drinking coffee/working at Starbucks, buying gas/working at Texaco/Shell and working at/wearing clothes from A&F.

Gotta eat, gotta dress, gotta work. We live in the same country, so it stands to reason we'd shop at the same places. Thing is, as a result of laws and fucked up hearts some still have to contend with racism. The same old racism working in a different way with very similar results. Lots of people may not have been hip to the info in those links you posted, and lots more have stories just like those. New ones are written everyday.
