hi,

I am going aboard and I wanna bring the whole HD with me, but it's probably not a good idea. So, I'll be burnning all the Sonar files and their wav files onto CDs. Is that all I need? Or do I need somehting else in order to be able to work on the previous songs created in Sonar.

thanks in advance

Al

If you're burning just the .cwp file, then you're screwed.

You need the audio data too (if any). You can even save the projects as bundles (.cwb) or pray that you use the Folder-Per-Project option (in the last case you can just burn the projects folder to disk).

:)

am I glad to see you, moskus!

thanks for the tip on cwb. I just tried saving one project as bundle and it gave me this file with the cakewalk logo. The file is huge, so I am assuming all audio files are contained inside of it, am I correct? So, this is all I need? or I should still use folder per project?

about folder per project, can I do it now or I gotta click on that option before a new project is created?

again, thanks

That's correct and that's all you need...

But I think the Folder-Per-Project option so much more easier to work with. But you need to set that before you start a new project, so now the best options is bundles anyway. :)
