Looks like canare is popular, anyone use their cabling?

How does this wire up if there are four connectors and three spots to solder them to?

Mogami, Canare, Belden are all good cable. Neutrik for connectors.

XLR....I got one mogami (short) and one monster (long). Both have been very good to me

I also have a pair of mogami instrument cables.

I can't, with proof, say that mogami is the best, but I CAN assure you that it's one of the safest buys (expensive as hell tho)...

Well, its actually 5 connections, 4 wires plus the shield. The shield gets connected to one pin on the connector, and 2 of each of the other wires get connected to the the other pins. The wires should be color coded, so of course, you would put like colors on the same pin. The companies that make these "quad" cables claim that it adds noise reduction and quality of sound, but I buy it more for the purpose of that if one of the wires on the inside breaks, there's still another one there to carry the signal.

My opinion - Up to 5 meters of lenght (20 ft) it has no sense to solve this issue. Cheap ready to use cables such as italian Proel and Bespeco has the same sound like hand made cables from Neutrik connectors and Gotham cables. Personally tested by one my friend on a high end equipment.

The other issue is how those Proels and Bespecos will withstand as for the material quality but in my home studio I am not bending cables, stepping on them and disconnecting them so much.

The guitar center in san jose sells mogami 2534 for only 60¢ a foot if you're looking for a sweet deal on that type of cable

Thanks virtual, that is a lot cheaper than i've found, but i'm currently living in Australia :(

Aye, bummer, I'd ship ya some but I'm off at college so I'm not near san jose anymore :(
