im a sorta kinda...maybe jus a lil bit of a ...newbie..... and i wanted to know... are the MXL2001 and the M-Audio Nova class a fet mic any good?

They'll do the job, I suppose. Right now, you might want to check out the CAD M-179. There's a thread about here, somewhere. Some online retailer selling it for like a 100 bucks or so. That's a total steal, and someone needs to jump on it.

I own the MXL2001, and it seems to do a pretty decent job. I hav'nt used if a whole lot yet though. I got mine for basically free, so I was'nt to worried about it, you may want to check out better mics for the price.

i have a nova and i dont plan to upgrade anytime soon. depending on what ur looking for its pretty good on vocals(rap not so much on the singing however).hope that helps some

...under $100...MXL V67g...best bang for the buck! (Studio Projects B1 is a close second)...
