paid 1200 total including shipping on reverb.com from netherlands to ohio, wouldn't record or rewind or play. the screwes holding in the tape deck to mess with the belt were stripped so my best option was to send it in for repair and I didn't want to buy a drill to get the screws out.
shipped it out to the tascam partner company teac electronics because the places I called in my area were unwilling or just not around anymore, received it in their inventory with an email letting me know like over two weeks ago and quoted me a price over 800 dollars to have it repaired. I agreed to the terms and seems like theirs no end in sight, they get a lot of people shipping crap out to them and they order the repair parts from japan and around the world, i'm gonna be in my grave by the time they get to my repair.
I'M IN F-ING HELL, all of this and future instruments I will be putting on my credit card, and boy I sure do feel like murdering someone tonight.
I feel ripped off big time.
