Ok, I taken some suggestions from previous comments and have done a new mix;

-more low frequencies overall
-less harshness and more warmth in the vocal
-less fizzy lead sound
-slightly louder back vocals
-fixed the bass in the intro
-raised vocal in the choruses

and a bunch of other stuff... check it out;

Please leave a comment if you listen - maybe this is the final mix?

Very nice sounds. I really like the dynamics the song has. The main vocals seems to have a lo-fi effect. It's missing some bottom end. If that's the sound you wanted, ignore this. Otherwise, maybe eq some mids out of the vocals. They are sung well, and fit the song, but I would personally like to hear a more natural vocal sound on this song. Excellent guitar playing, and nice tone. Fit's well.
Really enjoyed the song.

Well, this song is a collaboration, I did all the music and production, but the vocal was sent to me as an mp3 by someone on Artist Collaboration. I've been trying to eq it but I just can't get a great sound out of it!

Hi

I like the song a lot. I agree with Dogman's comment about the vocals. The song has very nice guitars, bass and drums.

Nice work.

what a great song. i like the big 80's metal guitar solos and techniques thrown over the jethro tull ballad style song.

take this for what its worth. I am listening to it through a state issued computer with one speaker.

it seems to me like you have a nice crisp mix that would allow you to really add some thump without distorting your song as a whole. maybe try either or, EQing or turn up the bass guitar and kick drum. I think if you found a nice bump on the kick at 60-100 hz and dialed in the right Q so its not too harsh. then do the same to the bass guitar at around 200-300hz? may fill in the sound scape a liitle without effecting your overall track level. turn your dials and listen closely until you hear those two instruments puch through, but not effect your overall level too much if at all.

again its a great sounding recording, but just lacks the right bottom end to punch through on my speaker compared to other recordings ive list to recentely.
