There are I think 3 ways you can go, adat protocol via light pipe, S/PDIF? and SCSI. SCSI is the fastest, via light pipe it takes about 4 times as long as the recorded tracks and spdif 8 times as long. Any one of these is going to take outboard hardware that will cost extra if not allready available. It is all in the manual just a tough read but you will get it. I suggest that if you have to spend money you go SCSI, Some of the formats will not back up scene events, program names, etc, again all in the manual. Before you by anything make sure you dont get suckered by some salesman, there are other threads here with more detail on this subject, search through.

OK.. I think I understand what you mean.. sort of..

Thank You dragon.. I've got to pull out the rest of the manuals.. LOL!

But - I have to tell you something.. the VF-160 Manual is AWFUL.. I showed someone who has a LOT of knowledge about computers/electronics/recording.. and they said it's the worst thing they have ever seen.. Nothing is connected - nor is it put in order...

Ahh.. the life...

One day they may come out with a step by step thing..

Thanks again..
