WaveLab 8 contains many additional improvements, such as 16-bit float waveform zoom resolution for ultra-precise editing as well as enhancements in the marker handling. Plus, you can transfer the master section plug-ins to a clip, track or the master plug-in area of a montage.
I will be continuing to stay with WL7 it works perfectly I do not care less about how it looks (when you have used SADiE you get to prefer stability and quality rather than GUI). No point fixing what is not broke. WL7 does the business here.
There didn't look like alot of new functionality in the WLE8 version either. Of course PG claims there are GUI enhancements, but that's irrelevant unless WL is a workspace you spend alot of time in. Some like me have presets for rendering to lossy formats and doing quick analyzation.
If you ask me, the featureset has always been a huge gap with the odds so much in Wavelab's favor. There needs to be a version to bridge the gap between Elements and the real thing, IMO.
