WAV to MP3?

Here's the deal. Using Goldwave, I'm able to make files of my tunes from my portastudio.However the files are too large to send (over 16MB). I'm assuming I need to convert to MP3. Is that all I need to do to put my music on the web or send them ? I'm using windows'98, any suggestions? Thanks........

hey, ya converting the wav to an mp3 will def make it a smaller file. You can download a program called Cdex from download.com for free which can do that for you. heres a link, (there are 2 versions now, i have only used the 1.30 ver)

There is a Shareware program called Right-Click which is one of many shareware utilities for converting .WAV to MP3. Just happens to be one I like. You can download it at:
