Washburn question...

Guys, I just picked up a used Washburn accoustic model D 10M tonight for my 26 yr old son who is wanting to learn how to play. This guitar sounds and plays great. The question is, does anyone know when the D 10M was made or the approximate age of the guitar? It is a plan Jane instrument, but is in near mint shape and as I said, sounds very nice. Any info that you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

They have been using the D10m name forever. I had one in the mid to late 80's , I'll bet you they still make one.

according to the current website, they don't make the D10M, but they do make the D10S. I do remember the D10M though. Nice guitar. If it has a serial number you might be able to figure out when it was made.
