Wanted to share this on Mother's Day

My mom wrote this and had it published in the local newspaper some 40+ years ago. I have a bunch of these - many religious - but I may try my hand at turning one of them into a song sometime. I inherited these when she passed last March... Love ya Mom!

I lost my mom 11 yrs. ago and still miss her very much. We lived on a farm and when she wanted peace and quiet she'd yell "out out damn spot". That meant get out of the house for the rest of the day.

That's a classic Gerry. many of her generation would give oh so much for a quiet life. The Great Depression certainly left a strong mark on folk.
