WANTED: Allen & Heath GS3000 (or Ghost, or D&R Orion)

I am trying to get hold of an Allen & Heath GS-3000 32 channel console for the studio I am assembling.

If you are selling one. If you have one lying around 'collecting dust in the closet ' that you dont use anymore. If you know anyone who has one but doesnt use it anymore, and would maybe like to unload it. Know anyone that is selling one.... let me know.


United States sellers only. (preferably east coast... but as I'm a begger, beggars cant be choosers).


Also, if your looking to sell either a D&R OrionX, or a 32 channel Soundcraft Ghost (full version, not the LE), let me know. It's kind of my second choice... I'd prefer the AH GS300, but it seems to be hard to come by... so If you want to unload one, I'll certainly consider buying it.

I appreciate the reply very much.

I actually inquired about that one... but they wanted a few thousand for the shipping... so uhh... thats like not gonna happen because (a) I'm not that wealthy, and (b) I have not yet smoked enough 'crack' to even consider paying that kind of shipping charge.

I would have picked it up directly, but its on the west coast of the U.S. and I'm on the east coast... I'm not sure I'm in the mood for a 60 hour road trip.
 
If you can find an OrionX I would go for it. Thats a whole nother league of console than the Ghost or GS.

I was trying to get hold of one of those also. Also harder to come by in America. A guy was going to sell me a used one in good condition for about $6500 a while back (which from what I gather is a steal), but due to unfortunate coincidence and bad timing somebody else came along and took it for a higher price. Had I acted a week earlier.... it could have been mine....oh well.

I ditched the OrionX idea though because the depth of the unit doesn't fit into the custom cabinets I built in my control room. Love the OrionX, but don't love ripping out my cabinets and racks I hand built out of birch. Probably be worth it though.

I'd still consider getting one though if another sweet deal just happened to come along, as that price range is really pushing my minimal budget.
 
Have you tried to contact Paul from D&R to see if he knows of any Orions for sale, or even a Daynor? If there is a D&R for sale in the US he probably knows that it is, and even what kind of condition it is in:)
 
Gs3000

Not sure if you are still looking, or that the location will suite you, but I have a GS3000, 32, with full meter bridge. I am going to want 3000.00 for it but I will throw in a mahogany stand as well. It is in perfect condition and was used very little.

This mixer is located in Toronto Canada so not sure if that will work for you. Where in the Eastern US are you?

GS 3000 on cape cod in MA

Hows it goin I have a great AH gs 3000.
Its my favorite but Im moving to Cali and I need to get rid of it.
Im asking only $3000 or B/O and its 32 channel with the built in valve Drive.
I can get manual no problem and also I have the power supply in mint condition.
Board is rarely used and was cleaned and repaired a year ago and only used twice since.
