I'd like to buy a Tascam 388, and pick it up rather than having it shipped. I'm in Oshkosh, Wisconsin area, and I'm willing to drive a few hours to make it happen.

The 388 must be in good working and cosmetic condition, with only minor maintenance work needed if any.

Please e-mail me with any offers!

Thank you.

Wow. Another Oshkosh person here. Small world.

Well, Winneconne, actually... but Oshkosh is more widely known, and easier to pronounce! ;)

Are you from Oshkosh?

Yeah, I am from Oshkosh. I never expected to see someone from this area on the board. Cool.

Maybe we can get together and jam sometime or something.

Ditto on that -- I never expected to see someone from Oshkosh here either!

Yeah man, I'm up for it... let's jam sometime. Shoot me an e-mail!

UW-Platteville!
i guess wisconsin is taking over the recording industry...

What can we say? Winneconne..... Oshkosh.... Platteville.... It's a BOOM town! WI is definitely the staging are for the next big thing! Look out ATL... Move over Nashville!

I'm from Neenah WI. I did some recording down on Main Street in Oshkosh a year or so ago. I recorded the Willis there. Not sure if you've heard them, but their CD which I recorded there is pretty damn good. I also recorded a band called Happy there a few years ago.

Oshkosh is a great music town. Lots of good bands there.

I need to get plugged into the scene more in Oshkosh... My wife and I have lived here in Winneconne for over a year now (moved here from Waukesha) and with buying the house I haven't had much of a chance to get out and about to do that... Really wanting to get a band together!

Look at all these wisconsinites. I'm sort of from that area, Wautoma, live down by madison now though. Small world I suppose.

ok....ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT!!!! and how did you guys pick the names of your towns anyway????

:p

Well, most of the town names around here are Native American in origin...

For example, to cite Alice Cooper from Wayne's World, the origin of Milwaukee is from the Algonquins (sp?), and pronounced Mee-lee-wah-kay, and means "the good land." :p

"Yes, Pete...it is!" :D

we ought to all get together some time and have a good old fashioned Wisconsin recording gear geek-out! I could host.... ;D

Oshkosh is named after a famous Indian Chief, and Neenah is also named after an indian Girl I believe.

Apparently we respected the natives a bit more than you folks on the East Coast! Ha!

I think I saw one

in a local Music-Go-Round today. I'll give them a call tomorrow.
(and I grew up in Brillion, half way between Appleton and Manitowoc)

You saw a 388? Really? Whoa, that'd be very cool... Please let me know!

I'm not sure what Winneconne means, but it has to be native american in origin...

Winneconne means "the wind that brings no fish" or "the fish that breaks the wind" depending on which Winnebago translation you prefer
