Hi all, first time poster here. Was looking to buy a working Tascam M-30, and any 8 track Fostex or Tascam/Teac reel recorder in Los Angeles or surrounding counties. Thanks

I have an exemplary specimen of a Tascam 38 (8 track 1/2") that I don't use. The single flaw is the missing emblem on the head stack cover.
Had a spongey pinch roller. I had tooling made and re molded the pinch roller, it is top notch.
I live in San Diego, my work is in LA (Glendale)
Its not a give away.

I work at an aerospace company. I drew up the tooling, sent it to the machine shop.
Once the tooling was done i gave it to an elastometrics Engineer that works for me and he tried different compounds until we got just what we wanted. Finally settled on a Hypalon compound.

if you've got anything by fostex that'd be great. i just found out the tascams (38,48,68) are 1/2. i'm personally looking for an a8. i just snagged a perfect tascam m30 off ebay. thanks again.
