wall plates

I've been looking around the net today and have found many wall plates, most of which are configured differently than I need or already preloaded with jacks.

I was wondering if any of you found 3 or 4 gang blank steel wall plates one could drill their own? I have the jacks and a milling machine so making holes is extremely easy. Home Depot and Lowes both gave me strange looks when I asked for 4-gang blank steel wallplates.

Any ideas?

Plastic is out because it will break immediately :(

I could make a metal box, thats not a big deal. Just easier to leech something thats existing.
 
While I think of it, does anyone know of chassis mount midi (DIN-5) jacks? Everything I've seen are those cheap plastic jacks with a metal ring that fall apart almost immediately. I'm more than happy to spend $$$ on top quality stuff that will last a lifetime.
