Very nice sounding guitars. No DI then?

Sorry for hijacking, but how is this done? Do you mean tracked twice, or two outputs (A/B splitter {one DI, one amped})?

D/L cut me off @ 2:00. Damnit... didn't get to hear the solo...
Here we go again, see you in an hour :(

I would imagine there could be several ways to do it. His head had a line out, which I ran into one side of the pre, and I could have had a mic on his cab (if he'd brought it - the reason for the DI in the first place) and ran that into the other side of the pre. It's the head/guitar/musician that is giving the sound IMO. I've gotten the same comment when using different pre's - also, the pre has the gain turned all the way down, so it is barely imparting any of it's sound to the track.

Yeah as Finster said you will get more depth with a close mic and even more depth with a distant mic aswell.

Slammin tune...ive always been a fan of harmonies like this one displays.
gives me the chills when the harmonies kicks in....keep em coming!

This song makes me happy. The snare needs some love but the performance transcends the negative. Great song.

Got a new DA - does this sound any better?

Yes, thats a keeper! Great Job!

DAMNIT that song is awesome! Did I mention that those guitars sound great?

Sounds good. That's some serious distortion on those guits. A little too fuzzy for my taste, but you've already explained all that. The bass (guitar) is kind of undefined, but not terrible.
