Anybody else checked out Walden?
Last week I bought a used one from a guy off craigslist (naturally I tried it first) - his add bragged up the tone/build quality, so I went on line and read what I could find (with some positive comments). I did not really know anything about Walden.
So - I'm pleasantly surprised. The guitar is well made (some small blemishes in the wood - but not extremely obvious), very playable and the tone is much nicer than I would have anticipated (some people compare to a Taylor - which in general I agree with).
I have a Taylor 110 (admittedly not a top of the line axe - but a decent low cost axe which does have the Taylor "chime"). I also have a Seagull S6 which plays well and records well. I have a higher end Takemine - but I don't think that is a fair comparison)
The Waldon (a $450 street price - which I got for $270 used) sounds and plays better than the 110 or the S6.
So - any other people pleasantly surprised by Walden???
