Another song from the musical. This one is a work in progress. In the link below, I sing all the parts; however the part of Jesus is sung by Ton Vanengelen of The Netherlands and the part of Candy is sung by my sister who won't get to me studio until the 4th of July.

Any female singers out there who would like to help out in the musical.

PM me if there are.

Hey Wig - are you L.E. Nelson?

Anyway I thought this was a great piece. It's signature Xeries material - well written and arranged... A musical eh? The SC page is pretty descriptive combined with the lyrics so I get the story (at least this piece quite clearly).

This is probably the most "story-ish" thing I've heard on this board. Cool...takes this to a whole diferent level

Easy to imagine this on a stage. Has this or will this be performed in the near future?

Yeah, I'm Louis E. Nelson Jr. AKA Wig Nelson.

Will it be performed? Jeepers, I couldn't tell you. But I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for the players.

I plan to re-record all of the songs so they sound decent, and then back out all the vocals so it is a play tape, so to speak.

Ton from Holland is singing Jesus now and I'm looking for female singers aside from my generous sister who helps out now and then.

Would you like me to send you the text with the stage direction, sophomoric as it is. But the lyrics will give you an idea.

Many of the songs are on my soundclick page, but some of the recordings and arrangements are crumby. That's what I'm addressing now.

How beautifully melancholic!
What I like about your work is I can understand every word you say when you sing. I hope the singers you find are as good as you are......
no nits from me, I really like it.

Joey :):):):)

Inspiring.

Has a Shawn Phillips/Greg Lake vibe to it. Love your voice here, and the harmonies are well placed and very nice. I wouldn't change anything. This is great.

Thanks, Joey,

Your words mean a lot to me. As far as finding good singers goes, I've found one who's pretty darned good. His name is Ton vanelngelen from Holland. He sings this song as well as I do, which is good, because I can't sing it and be Roman at the same time. His wife sings, too, but she is shy about it, I think.

He has a bit of an accent (which I like) but you can understand every word when he sings it, too.

Thanks for the encouragement, Wig:)

Thanks very much, RAMI. It's always a treat to hear from you, my friend.

I just love the concept of the poor sap who is tuning into everything under the sun so he doesn't miss anything - and then he misses everything.:D

Like the man continuously channel surfing and ends up watching nothing.

I can't let go of these images. Considering your social commentaries in your music, I guess I'd call them RAMI-esque.

Nice recording.

I am envious of your vocals. I wish I could be 1/2 as good.

I will say though, this recording had a bit of a karaoke feel. Not sure why. Maybe your vocals were just a bit out in front too much? Maybe a touch of compression to keep some of the peaks in check?

Thanks, BV,

I should send you Ton's version from Holland. He's not as out front as I am.

Hell of a talent, too.

Just listened to the version with Ton and you singing that you sent me. He does have an excellent voice - as you do. Funny - although he sings it well, I'm used to hearing you sing it. So I was listening for your trademark vocals which weren't to be on his parts haha... Listening to someone cover the original will do that. The unison worked out well tone wise. It's not perfectly in sync but the tones blend well - something that is very hard to acomplish IMO. The harmonies were equally good.

I didn't catch the meaning of Roman Charges until you pointed it out as Roaming Charges....duh...I'm a little slow....

Yeah, there's a lot of word play in the musical. Harry becomes Harrison Issac Vanderbucks in the dream sequence and says, "Learn to damn the monogram it's H.I.V."

The whole musical is a bit dark and not for everybody.

The arrangement is very promising.
the voice is, as usual a presence in its own right, terrific.
The story is intriguing - I love the sleeping on a bus bench idea.
The weighty arrangement is well lifted by the pauses - very effective.
Your voice rides this mix very nicely.
tres cool!
