VST plugins for Cubase SE

Can you guys recommend me some cool/good FREE VST plugins for making neat effects on guitars? I want to do a lot of experimental stuff w/ my guitarist, but he only has like 1 pedal...and not a lot of effects. Someone told me about VST plugins, and I want to know which ones are really cool sounding when it comes to guitar.

The simulanalog suite has good amp and distortion sims. Kjaerjus has great free plugs for more than just guitar, but nice delays and filters. The others are all used by me from time to time. On the MDA website, click VST effects at the top for the freebies.

Go to the SEARCH page there and click on FREE as a search option - you'll find tons listed...
