I'm considering upgrading from my Eventide Harmonizer H3000D/SE because of the physical limitations of the hardware. Is there such a thing as a top shelf effects rack that can interface as a VST?
If so, is it as good an idea as it seems or do the current models fall short? Sounds like it would be a cool piece of gear as long as the sound quality was on par - also, it would be cool to have access to a more intuitive editing interface on the computer as opposed to tweaking a dial to read a mini lcd screen...
Anything out there that fits the bill?

From how I understood the first post, the Muse receptor would exactly what he/she does not want. With the Muse recpetor you are just looking at another outboard unit that is running vst's, and still just has a small screen for editing. There are a lot of good VST plugins out there, but none that would adequately replace an Eventide in my opinion, unless you find the right convolution interface and convolution samples:)
