Vsr 880

Does anyone on this BBS use the VSR 880 or is this old hardware for everyone?

Just checking myself, as I have hardly taken it from the box in the two years I've had it. I am more a reel to reel analog guy and I want to get up the nerve to mess with this unit some...

I've been using the VSR-880 for some time now as well as a Tascam 34B analog.....running everything through a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro.

The VSR has a lot of features for a rack mount hard disk recorder.

They have been discontinued but still are a good deal on Ebay for a low cost digital solution.

What's your set-up and your question?

i use a vsr880 in combination with my vs1680.
i think the vsr is not so much a 880 in a rack, but more a 1880/1824 in a rack. i really like the combination with the 1680.
