BTW,

If you go to www.rolandus.com you can find a page where you can download the manuals for the machines as well as their appendices. You can get a list of the FX patches there (in the appendices). There's lots, but a good chunk of them are absolutely useless, at least to me.

Dude, I'm looking at your website right now I'm coming to you town to visit this bar!

Which one? Juno's was good on Thanksgiving eve!!! Young Girls .Those recordings on our website were made on the Boss BR-1600 about 2 years ago...and the're still getting us jobs.I want to make more band recordings on the VS-1880 I have now. www.secondhandcherry.com

Roland VS-2000CD all the way. I loved the USB feature on it.

I have the 2400CD and really like it. I'm a Roland 'vet', having cut my teeth on the VS880EX like MK-Ultra did, and then moved on up to the 1880 and now the 2400.

The learning curve is indeed steep with these machines, but they have a nice payoff for figuring them out and are VERY flexible.

The 2400 can do VGA/mouse/keyboard out of the box, no extra card to buy. They come stock with one -2 effects board. I got a free -3 board w/1176 plug-in on a rebate, which is sweet. I'm looking to get the ChromeTones and maybe the LA2A plug ins as well.

I think we're all just voting on whichever machine we own LOL. They are all wonderful so it's no big deal.

2000 CD. I have a 1680 and got a 2000 CD about 1 year ago. I have the VGA/mouse/keyboard interface with a 20" LCD monitor and I love it. The USB connection rocks.

I had a roland vs1880 and made some killer recordings on that thing.check ebay there dirt cheap now....
