Voltage Regulator/Power Conditioner?

Dammit, Jim, Shut Up!
I am looking to solve a specific problem. In the middle of the summer here in Michigan, my Yamaha ProMix1 sometimes makes some nasty buzzing sounds, which renders it unusable. Once the cooler weather sets in, its fine all year--until the next summer. My room is air conditioned, so I don't think it is a heat problem. My theory is that it is getting screwed up by either the electrical power fluctuations, or by some kind of incoming hash in the line.

There are two kinds of products. One is a power conditioner, which prevents spikes and filters the incoming AC. The other is a voltage regulator, which keeps the AC at 120 even when it fluctuates above or below 120.

Does anybody know what I should be looking at to solve the problem? I know this isn't a glamorous mic pre discussion, but I'd sure like to know what I should pick up to guarantee clean power for my studio and computer. Surely, some of the larger studios must deal with this to protect their large investment in gear. Any help would be really appreciated.
