Vocal recording mics...

I love my VC6Q......it is unbelievable what that unit can do with a electronic drum set.....smoothes it out like butter....no pumping and breathing from the compresser....makes those phoney cymbals sound real> And the C-1 thru the meek sounds even better than I expected
 
microphone

I've just recently started to record my music on the computer using Cool edit pro. I want to get the best sound I can. I know I'll have to get a decent microphone but I've no idea which type.

I don't want to spend to much on one, and I'd also like to know if it's ok to plug it directly into the PC because I've seen stuff about pre amps.
 
Was able to score the VC6Q after all!! Expecting it sometime
next week. Getting the store manager involved did the trick.
Maybe there a a couple left for my fellow members?......
