Hi guys,
I recently purchased a mic (shure sm58) and a mixer (behringer 1204 usb). I intend to record vocals over instumentals.
I have it all hooked up correctly to the computer with drivers and software installed. I can record vocals over an instrumental with no problems. However I would like to know how I am able to hear both my voice and music at the same time while recording.
If headphones are plugged into the mixer, I can only hear my voice, and if plugged into the computer (headphone jack) i can only hear the music.
How can I route the music through the mixer so I can hear both at the same time? And without re-recording the music (if that makes sense) I want the vocals seperate from the music.
If I check the box in audacity (prog im using to record) "software playthrough" there is a big delay in my voice.
Any help is much appreciated!
